After SMC, Ronn joined GSociety Inc. (GSOC), the first “Gay” Media and Entertainment company traded on the NASDAQ, working on national campaigns for brands such as Queer As Folk, Absolute, & Showtime.
Ronn’s entrepreneurial spirit eventually led him to create Spongeworks, a Los Angeles marketing agency producing multimillion-dollar campaigns for Delta Airlines, Subaru of America, British Tourism Authority, & Oracle. All of these successful endeavors have led him to his role now as Director of Swell.
Ronn enjoys the intersection of technology, design, storytelling, and understanding people, all of which are vital components of a successful business. At Swell, Ronn oversees all aspects of sales, marketing, design, development, and nurturing those intersectional opportunities.
In his downtime, you can find Ronn cooking or training for his next triathlon. He is also a frequent competitor in the Trail Running World Championships.
As part of a military family, Sandra was born in Wiesbaden, Germany but lived in Orlando, Florida for 20 years. She is a Florida State Seminole and graduated with her B.S. in Psychology, but had an eye for marketing and design. Years later, she moved to Pensacola to be closer to family and has been here ever since.
Out of the office, Sandra enjoys macro photography, cooking for her family and friends, making clay miniatures, and gardening, all of which fuel her creativity. Another thing about Sandra is that she is a proud cat mom! We’re happy to have her, and her cats, as part of our team.
Emily spent three years in Kansas City, Missouri to pursue her education and received her B.A. in Illustration from the Kansas City Art Institute. She enjoyed the creative culture and eclectic cuisine of Kansas City but returned as soon as possible back to the beach with valuable education in hand.
Some personal accomplishments of Emily that we are so proud of include being the poster contest winner for the 2019 Greater Gulf Coast Arts Festival, being selected to design a Cubed mural during Foo Foo Fest 2021 and being featured as one of InWeekly's Rising Stars in 2022.
When she’s not in the office, you can find her at Bayview dog park, at Pop Comics in East Hill, or oil painting in her studio. Emily is very passionate about the creative community growing in her hometown here in Pensacola and thrives in its artistry. It’s clear that creativity is her strong suit and we are lucky to have Emily as a team member at Swell.
Although she was born in Avon Park, Halley grew up in Mary Esther, Florida. In 2007 she moved to Pensacola to pursue her college degree at Pensacola State College and has lived here ever since she fell in love with the quiet beach community.
Halley graduated with an A.S. in Graphic Design and an A.A. in Art along with many significant collegiate achievements. She volunteered with the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival and earned the Donna Fassett Scholarship of Exemplary Academic Achievement, received 1st place in the 2012 Students Art Honors Exhibition, and 2nd place in 2016. Halley is a force to be reckoned with in the realm of art.
Outside of work, Halley has a knack for cooking, tending to her garden, playing music, and spending time with her cat and many chickens. She gives back to the Pensacola community by volunteering at Keep Pensacola Beautiful and the Greater Gulf Coast Arts Festival. Its clear Halley is an excellent asset to Swell.
Sarah was born in St. Louis, Missouri but moved to Santa Rosa Beach at a young age. She is a true Gator fan and attended the University of Florida in Gainesville. Sarah was involved in various organizations and spent a lot of her time volunteering and giving back to the Gainesville community through the Children’s Miracle Network, Children’s Advocacy Center, Prevent Child Abuse America, and Girl Scouts.
Her experience shines through her studies and starting her own PR consulting business when she was 20 but decided to move on from that so she could work on a team and learn from others. Recently graduating with her B.S. in Public Relations, she moved to Pensacola right out of university for a fresh start outside of her hometown, but not too far from family.
In her spare time, Sarah is either at the beach, playing her guitar, or enjoying her time at local wine bars and breweries. She is a strong advocate for mental health and wellness and is passionate about environmental causes such as ocean preservation, habitat rehabilitation, and conservation.
Coming from San Francisco, California, Marilou made the decision of relocating to Pensacola to stay close to her children, a 26-year-old son who is an officer and pilot in US Marines Corps, and a 20-year-old daughter who is currently a freshman student at Pensacola State College. Beyond the office, Marilou loves to spend her time with her family, and workout, explore the local farmers market, and most of all, underneath the sunshine and within the beaches of Florida!
